Professor Gus Books
I don’t know when it started, but I felt a desire to create children’s books. For me, as a person with dyslexia, writing has always been a challenge. But the more I wrote, the more I fell in love with the art of story telling.

In 1998, under the pen name “Professor Gus”,
I wrote and illustrated my first children’s book,
“The Tree that Wears a Coat.” A story told through trees. A story about a child’s innocent perspective of the world, and overcoming the challenges of the world’s reality.

It’s as much my story as it is any other child suffering from any inferiority complex, whether it be race, financial or even dyslexia. It’s a story about being different and the universal desire to be accepted.

Recognized and vetted by the Miami Public Library,
“The Tree That Wears a Coat’ has become the first book in a trilogy, and on its way to becoming a true classic.

As the founder of Professor Gus Books, I have
self-published over 20 children’s book titles, serving as the author, illustrator, and designer for the PGB collection.

You will find my stories are as varied as they are engaging, touching on everything from history and inspiration, to the purely heartfelt. The illustrations are unique, colorful, and whimsical, always driven by the stories and the desire to expand a child’s imagination.

Today PGB has expanded its brand by offering illustrations, design and production to other writers helping them fulfill their dreams of becoming published authors.
